I bought these as soon as they were released (before they showed up on Amazon) as I was desperately looking for a sweat proof pair of Bluetooth headphones. When I workout, I love to listen to music or a book and I love the convenience of a Bluetooth headphones. I own a pair of Plantronics BackBeat 906 Stereo Bluetooth Headphones which I love, but I shorted out two pairs before giving up and looking for something else.
These ActionFit headphones have been totally sweat proof and I have had no problems. I've been on a couple of 6 mile runs with the headphones under a hat - and I can tell you it gets really sweaty under there. I also use them regularly in the gym.
Fit is a bit more tricky. At first I thought I would have to send them back because I could not get them to fit comfortably, but then I read the instructions and realized you have to slide the black part of the headphones through the grey part and physically bend the headphones in order to adjust them. After that the fit was great for walking around, but not ideal for running.
These headphones are meant to block out the ambient noise, but the reality is when you are running they can move so that the block out isn't perfect which leads to a noticeable drop in volume. Also I find they tend to move enough that you tend to get a little swish, swish or occasionally a more annoying clunk, clunk. I have a feeling that if I mess around with them enough I might get a good fit that I really like, but I haven't got there yet.
Still the fact that they have best in class as far as being sweat proof goes means that I can actually use a Bluetooth headset whilst working out which makes them worth every penny to me.
Range and volume are comparable with the Plantronics Backbeat headphones . I use mine with an HTC Windows phone and the Plantronics Backbeat Bluetooth transmitter connected to a Kindle.
The buttons are a little fiddly to use when on your ear, but I'm just happy that they don't short out.
